In July 2010, the National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) changed the edits associated with MTWA testing, allowing MTWA to be performed on the same day as several stress procedures.

The change allows MTWA testing (CPT code 93025) to be performed on the same day as stress testing (CPT codes 93015, 93016, 93017), pulmonary stress (CPT codes 94620, 94621), and echocardiography stress (CPT codes 93351, C8930) with full reimbursement for all procedures.
